The bad: This movie was a lousy wreck, which better resembled a WB sitcom than something that should be on the big screen. 25 minutes into the movie I was still thinking, “who are these people??” – there seemed to be very little character setup or development. For the most part, the acting was poor — again, it was more like watching “Dawson’s Creek” than an actual movie. The story was extremely basic, which is fine except that the dialogue was poorly written as well. The subplot with the groom-to-be’s father was not necessary and distracted from the good vibes to the movie — it was hard to watch, but not in a “I’m moved” sort of way, but more in a “I want to barf” kind of way.

The good: The movie pretty very short, so however bad it is, at least it’s over quickly. Which was good because otherwise I don’t think I would have made it all the way through. Also, some of the women in the movie were pretty good to look at, which makes getting through the film a little easier.

Seriouly, I’m not a high-brow movie viewer…I like a fun, dumb movie every now and then. But this movie was a wreck in most every way possible. Watch it for a great lesson in poor character development, sappy dialogue, and character clichés (the movie star character who seems happy but is actually very sad…how original).

Wobbly scenery, hysterical acting, unbelievable plotlines – someone tell me how TV could possibly get any better?

Please please – don’t let it get cancelled. If the rest of the world (judging from the comments here) doesn’t want it, we in Britain certainly do!!

Simply the best soap ever. Someone gave it 0 out of 4 – I can only assume they meant 10 out of 4!

I just got this on iTunes and it was really amazing! Being that it is intended to be a television show, it was truly very interesting. I can see this doing well as a weekly series. Of course, only the pilot is available for viewing now…but it does leave you with many unanswered questions, hoping to see the rest of the story play out.

there are many possibilities that the characters and the plot line can follow. production quality on the episode that i watched was very good as well. the cast was very likable and the plot was believable. Aquaman himself, AC, was a very likable hero.

i would absolutely watch this show on TV every week if it were on.

I never believed for a minute that Cole Williams’ character was a true bisexual and therein lies the flaw in RACE YOU TO THE BOTTOM. He’s an arrogant, self-centered writer (whose talent is also something of a line of BS), who is acting like a spoiled baby and it is hard to muster up any sympathy for him or any of the other characters in this road-to-nowhere film. The DVD commentary tries to explain away their behavior by emphasizing that that the characters are in their 20’s and this is their ‘time’ to be self-centered and let ego rule. Maybe if the film-maker took a solid stance on how HE feels about them, we’d care too. But he didn’t and we don’t so race to the credits and get it over with.

Why? Why did they make this movie? If Timothy Olyphant wasn’t shirtless in it several times, there would be ABSOLUTELY no reason to watch this movie, ever. Um…Plot? Nope. Well-defined characters? nope. The only time I laughed was when my boyfriend made fun of the whole she-bang. P.S. Andy Dick? Nope.

What can I say about the series dubbed the NEW OUTER LIMITS…Hmm…. Only that this was one of the best TV series ever assembled!! You have actors of all ages, The actors that are somewhat known and that time forgot. Everyone playing their part to exact perfection! These shows always have some type of moral story to them which most of the time (if not all the time) is very true! You can feel that the man whose voice is dubbed over the credits and in the beginning and ending believes what he is saying wholeheartedly! Not only do these shows have great story lines, they also throw you into them, get your mind racing, and your blood pumping. The original outer limits was a black and white in the 60’s right, These shows made a triumphant comeback the likes of which I have never seen! The new twilight zone with Forest Whitaker was fun to watch, but the New OUTER LIMITS is where it’s at! If you have not seen: I implore you to please check these episodes out, and you will see exactly what I mean! LONG LIVE THE NEW OUTER LIMITS!!!!!!!!!!!!
